EMTV supports Team PNG with Virtual Farewell
The Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee (PNGOC) would like to acknowledge the kind support by EMTV with the Special 1-hour edition of the Team PNG Virtual Farewell on the night of Thursday July 22 through its Sports Scene program.
The Team PNG Special 1-hour edition was aired on the eve of the Tokyo 2020 opening night, on the Sports Scene Program at 7pm and also livestreamed on EMTV’s Sports Scene Facebook page.
Due to the changing and challenging landscape of sport in the country and globally due to the COVID restrictions, the traditional Farewell accorded to members of Team PNG was not possible with most of the athletes and their trainers and managers staying and training out of the country.
Team PNG Chef de Mission to Tokyo Tamzin Wardley in acknowledging EMTV for the kind assistance sincerely thanked them for the collaboration.
“We are very grateful for this collaboration between EMTV and PNGOC to put together the first ever virtual Team PNG Farewell”, Wardley said.
